Each piece has been melted and remelted in our furnaces, as we recycle all of our lava to bring the dramatic eruption experience to life again and again. Despite this process, every shard originates from the powerful Katla eruption more than a century ago—making it both a keepsake and a living part of Iceland’s volcanic history.
